Happy Australia Day to us all and all who wanna be ! Nice day here, lol Vonny re tent, wait till you get to the sleeping bags! I got new ones last year and DD’s kayaking teacher complained to me that even HE couldn’t get hers back in it’s bag – Aussie Disposals here sell just bags alone, into which towel and pillow can go too, perfect for the sleepover. Clever poem Laurie ! Sound like everyone has got something on today, we have heaps happening this weekend it’s good to get the families out in the parks together. This morning five gorgeous vintage motorcycles were parked out front, the owners went to a nearby coffee shop, they are going to be on display this weekend. Have had a bit of family negotiation to do this week, as one brother wants to relieve Dad of a bit more of the farm – I don’t think there’ll be a problem but with four kids to inform the phone was running hot, then my sister in law said ’your father reminded me that in fourteen months time he’ll turn 90’ - he seemed to think a party was a great idea! So we’d better book the golf club in Korumburra and tell the friends and rellies. I think we’ll need a weekend though not just an afternoon, all the people he knows!! And my other brother flies out to Mongolia tomorrow, with his job. Lots of gold and copper under the tundra apparently, have to assess to see if a mine is feasible (not much rainfall). He’ll only be gone ten days. I said we wanted a postcard but he doesn’t think there will be any to send. Well take it easy everybody and have a bonza weekend ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hz |

Happy Australia Day to all the Wattlers and any Lurkers who should be joining us we don't bite you are all very welcome been thinking of you all and I am all better now thanks for all the best wishes . I am still being Nurse etc to Tiger who is lucky to be alive nothing to do with his knee it's the man patient thing( sorry Tony ) he says you're being mean I'm sick I say 'you are NOT sick you are recovering from an op there is a big difference dear' so stop yelling out and give me a minute to breathe please He then says 'My nurses in the Hospital didn't say that to me'And when I take his tablets to him or the paper or the ice or his exercise stuff he asks 'Do you DO **** ***s and I said NO most certainly not did you say that to the nurses and he says the cheeky rude Butter 'No I didn't have to ask ' Boom Boom to which my reply was'Exactly you said NURSES plural not NURSE singular who is still a bit wonky and if you don't want to be the victim of a homicide by being hit on the head with your crutches shut up whinging ' AAAAARGH I am ready to jump a bus up to Brissie , as Cassie bought her wedding dress the other day and sent me the Itinery for the whole box and dice in Fiji in August so excited both of us Tiger reckons we better get good holiday insurance ,in case of another political upset over there but its on Malalo Island well away from any unrest and as I said you gunna die you gunna die no matter where you are LOL Hz sweetie I am feeling a lot better know just have to concentrate on looking better lol and getting Tiger on the blastest mend before I go bonkers Diy Jude sorry re your headache and not being able to get to Bendigo either and the nonmusical chairs was happening even with out us there I wondered if Joodles and Wilson waved to anyone and asked them if they were looking for us hehe Merle you funny girl and so clever sending second photo up the right way this time its a butter not having Picasa on this old desk top as it wouldnt have mattered if I had had Picasa it turns them around no problems was successful thank you too. Himself look so young even with him being so ill God Bless him. Do you get on well with Kevin's wife she looks nice. What I really want to know Merle what gave you the idea to go to the Supermarket looking for your ancesters, and you found some too wow, just joshing Merle sorry darlin I know you meant IGI as I make the same BOOBOO all the time just had to have a giggle when I read you saying it too lovie Tony , do you cut little slits in your lamb roast and put garlic and rosemary in them its lovely flavour goes right through the roast ohhh (stop talking about food Lara ) Laurie are you finished painting the office yet darlin sweetie lovie seeing as you are now so experienced I would like the family room ceiling painted please and then the lounge room and then the new plaster wall that I can't get done in the family room as tradies in this town too busy and don't want to do fiddly little jobs butter Shazzles Tony Fergusen does sound good but this is a Drs supervised program with everything in the shakes bars and creme dessert things and soup that one body need for the day and its the only one DRs reccomend ( probably get a kick back ) but its good going to see her every four weeks and getting throughly checked over.Shazz I don't eat anything at all for the intial 12 weeks for the dangerously obese peeps all day excepth three of the shakes or the soup or the dessert stuff or the bars or them interchanges and two cups of allowed veges like brussell sprouts, cauli, cabbage zucchini mushrooms ,and salad veges like lettuce, toms, cucumber, celery, snow peas, radishes , peppers, with 2 teaspoons of vege oil on them , so can do a stir fry or as a salad. and have bought some of the soup and thought I could steam appropriate veges and throw them into the soup as its just chicken soup and the zucchini and cabbage and broccoli I thought I might make it with tomatoes and onion garlic added too and some mung beans which are allowed to make it sort of chicken Ministroni type for a change, have to do that when you have to stay on it for 12 weeks or I will go nuts BUT it will be worth it I am sure, I have got to stay staying positive. What I was saying about detox is that Cassie said I was sick at the beginning because it was though I was on a Detox Program and was experiencing withdrawals from coffee etc, or I had a virus. What you doing Flaky taking over the cats fetish with the numbers I thought you were crook and it wasn't you its was DIY Jude or were you both sickies sorry I am having trouble catching up to what has been happening Will get off here now and see you all later on love Lara |

Happy Australia day everyone. I thought IGA looked better.says she wriggling in embarrasment.Still you never know, they reckon they've got every thing we want. The boat pickles are wonderful. As I'm a new chum, was it built from scratch or overhauled? congratulations anyway. Triffles, so glad you're back, they''re all pickin' on me. Himself always looks good. It's disgusting. Yes we love our Amanda very much. She's a delight. Himself is plaintively asking when I'm coming to watch the cricket with him so I'd better 'obey' the master. Where are you ducks. Love to you. Afternooon Wattlers on this lovely day. Mum and Dad have not long left, we had a good barbie and they was quite impresed with our purchase, only barbie they have ever owned, and still do it a small 3 legged portable one, but it does the job and has been everwhere with them. We was treated to a special dessert, Mum did a home made Cheesecake and bought with them it was beeeaaaauuutifulllll :-))))))) David is still scratching about on the roof. removing to rust before painting. Eldest daughter asked if this is what everyone does on Australia Day ......... Cleans house as I was running around making sure place was spic and span for the parents, and David cleaning the roof lol Couldnt help myself but I had to have a giggle :-)))))) Youngest wasnt too impressed as she was woken (after 9.30am) by what she thought was next door sawing wood, then I told her it was David on the roof hee hee. I wanted her out of bed anyway so I could change the sheets on her bed :-) Lara glad you are feeling a bit better and stick to it, you will be better for it, I know it sounds a long time but just forget about the weeks and just focus on each day. I think it took me about 5 months to get where I did. I wont tell you I have put on a couple of kg's :-( have to start drinking water and walking again, now that chrissy and holidays are over with. Happy Australia Day my Wattle friends. I hope that you are all enjoying the day. We are just relaxing at home. The last 2 days we have been out. On Wednesday I went to get my glasses fixed. You will be please to know that they they are now sitting squarely on my face not lopsided any more. We then had a picnic lunch on the Southport spit, followed by the weekly shopping. Naturally I forgot to get the lotto, so I had to go out yesterday morning for that very important task. At the same time I got a duckling for Neville's birthday dinner on Saturday. Well we thern decided to go out the Maroon dam, so packed up the barbie, snags eggs bacon etc and had a very quiet time at a very dry dam. That is until the storm came. It teamed down, so heavy that it shook the car. I must say the drive home was much cooler and the air was much fresher. A couple of questions. Some one mentioned that installing the new Internet Explorer had slowed down their puta. That must be what has happened to mine. I do like the new one, but I hate it being slow, so how do I go back to the old one? Google Earth? I downloaded it, supposedly the latest version, but the view of my house is at least 3 years old. How do I get up to the minute pictures? Do I have to pay for it? Lara, its good that you seem to be back to your normal self. I wish I was as strong as you when it comes to loosing weight. Neville and I are going to try the CSIRO diet, I have done a similar one before, which was easy for me and it worked. Do you pray at the feet of your Barb every night Tony? Well you should, but then I bet you think you are the best prize of all. LOL Trifley, glad you enjoyed your little holiday, I am sure it would have been much cooler up there. It is very hot again today, the humidity is shocking. Merle, did you get the Wattle List? Everyone else, hope you are all well. It won't be long before the good Dr is back, she will keep us entertained for weeks. I am looking forward to all the pickles. Well, I am just going for a cooling glass of iced water. Will look in later Luv SuzyQ |

Yes suzy I did but its so small cant read it and havent figured out how to get it so I can read it. I've got new glasses too and much to familys disgust have gone back to big ones. I hated being able to see over the top of them G D's feel I've let the side down. Tough. We've had a very quiet day but I've got a lovely roast leg of Mutton in the oven just cooking slowly. Smells georgeous. Life neally got a bit interesting earlier, I caught my foot on the stepladder I use to rest my foot on while talking to you lot and managed to gracefully???? pirouette myself round far enogh to fall on the bed. AND before anyone asks why a stepladder it's because the second step is just the right height so there!I I've only got a little flag so stuck it in the flowerpot near the front door and its been bravely blowing in the wind all day. Have got a few toots from passing cars and the noongar family next door even wished me a good Australia day so feel I've done my bit. Any of you girls nurses or used to be's? I was ,and was a volunteer at the hospice for 14years till himself got sick and it was a bit too close to home but I agree with Tony, Men are the biggest sooks ever. Mind you I still think theyre easier to nurse. You can bully them into doing what you want, husbands excepted ,but if you tried the same tactics on women they'd report you as soon as look at you. Mostly anyhow.I loved my time at hospice. Theres no time there to waste making a fuss, what you see is what you get and I heard all sorts of things they wouldn't tell their family members.Sorry, didn't mean to go into all that bnut now you know where my heart is in this big wide world. |

SuzyQ.....I've found out how to get rid of that bl***y Internet Explorer 7. You go into your Add/Remove programme in your control panel. Scroll down to where it say 'Windows Explorer 7' and hit 'Remove'. It will then take it off and your puta will revert to the previous Explorer. I've just done it and noticed a vast improvement in the speed. I'll email you in case you don't get on here for a while. Hugz Trifley X |

We were at the early morning celebrations - very foggy and even a bit of rain so they couldn't release the doves and they couldn't have the old planes fly over but no one cared cause the rain was great! Then visited various rellies for the remainder of the day so it was just beaut. See you all tomorrow. X Anna |

Evening Wattlers. A great day was had by all in Melb. Barbie was lit at 6:30pm ( when the flies went to bed ) and the decking was full with laughter and chatter. We reminissed about when my girls were little, and they recalled certain times in there lives as teenagers in the 80s and how i was so strict. Teena ( the eldest ) now 34 years old, told me that she was to scared to bring boys home when she was 16 because i would give them the evil eye.....lol But a great day as always, and at 9:00pm we all walked to the Council gardens ( two blocks away ) and the band was rockin & a reelin. Wilbure Wilde,Frankie J Holden, Russell Morris all belted out familiar 60s and 70s songs on stage and about 500 - 600 baby boomers were bopping to the rythme on the lawns surrounding the stage At 9:45 when it was dark, the fireworks display had the grandkids screaming with delight, as sky rocket after sky rocket lit up the night sky for about half an hour, and my grandaughter sat on my shoulders, ripping whats left of my hair out, as the sky rockets exploded.....lol We all came back and sat on the decking for Coffee and Xmas cake, and the kids with there Frog jelly moulds that granma Barb had made for them, and even though my decking is the size of a small house, i realised today that there will be a decking extention coming up in the near future, as my family is growing by the year Now its time for a Poppy and Nanna nap, cos we is knackered. Hope you all had a great Australia Day. Tony Oz.....:>))) |

Tony sounds like you had a great Aussie Day, would have been good sitting in the park listening to the old music. We just had a quiet night having a couple or 3 Jim Beams and chatting to another GR member on the puta who is from UK, he asked me if we (Tassie's) celebrated on the 6th Feb like the ozzies do/did yesterday :-0. I did let him know that we was ozzies not kiwis :-)))))))))))). But a nicer bloke would be hard to find, ooops apart from you Tony :-) Cheers Sue |
