Thanks for explaining that. Cos I see this thread pop up alot and never really understood what the whole wattle thing was. Where in Aussie are you? I have never been, I really want to but the thought of flying that far is what puts me off cos I hate flying!

See, that wasn't so hard. Just sit back and make yourself at home. The wattlers are in and out all day generally. The wattle is Australias national flora emblem Mags. lots of fluffy yellow pompoms. JulieCat drops in here all the time.

Rebs, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning. Southern Comfort is the best cure. I'm sure it was traipsing around the Riverside markets and riding on the barge on Sunday that did you in. Definitely wasn't Saturday. Congrats to darling daughter! Poor Laurie - I can hear the green green grass of home calling to you loudly. Your extended confinement in Sydney must be worth some very big pay back from the lovely Ray. Get busy on those retail websites girl and put your orders in!!! Devley - Clive Berghofer is the main mover in land development in Toowoomba. He is a self made man - left school at 14 - and was our mayor for a period. He is very down to earth and has done an enormous amount of good in the community. Worth an absolute fortune but he has developed land within the price range of the average couple. He has donated so much money to local organizations and even individuals who need medical treatment etc. My daughter Katherine wanted an empty house to do her short film in recently so she rang his office and he was happy to help her out. There are people who like to knock him - tall poppy syndrome I think - but I think he's one of the good guys. Morning Trifley - hope the voice has recovered. Sock it to 'em girl! Hi Trifley, the Country Comfort is okay. It has recently changed hands and they are slowing renovating the rooms which had become a bit tired. It's very close to town (about 1km) and I'm 7km out towards Gulgong, so it's only a 5 min drive. Yes, only 16 to go. Can't wait just to lay back and do nothing for a while. You know, read a book, watch trashy tv and boss Terry about. Well, back to work (yeah right!!!) Lew Lew, heeee, heeee xxx

It's a bright, sunny day here on the Gold Coast. However there is a cold breeze blowing, probably from that frosty Mudgee. Joodles....the brothers are very handy at massages, opening champers, feeding me grapes....you know...all the important things in life. Enjoy your VIEW trip today. You're right...Lithgow can get bloody cold so rug up well. So your daughter just keeps the girls as pets then? Devely...make sure your daughter has her sleeping bag with her. It will be very cold just sleeping on the ground as Anna's daughter found out. The Lovely Ray....don't you worry sweet heart...if Laurie calls you nasty names like 'scumbag' again you can come and work with the brothers heeee heee. Dr Lew... neither Graeme nor I are keen on B&B's so I think we'll just book into the Parklands Resort. Everything is white from the frost and it'll take some time for the sun to dry it up. Jood, it will be very cold in Lithgow, so make sure you rug up proper. Pam, you're welcome to the Mudgee Meet. I'll check out the accommodation and let you all know the nicest places to stay. Don't worry, Lara, Terry will wear those hearing aids! They cost $4,400 per ear!!! His was caused from National Service, but don't think that the Government has volunteered to pay anything. How you feeling this morning, Rebs? Anyway all the best ol' chap. Rebs hope you are ok and manage to shake this virus quick. Anna did you get the story on Today tonight about the guy in Toowoomba who gives heaps to charity? His name eludes me at the moment all I can remember is it is a foreign name, but he gives away huge amounts of money and has his name on a few buildings etc up there. It is not as bad here today, no real frost to speak of, which is good as I hate driving on roads when black ice is about, expecting rain tomorrow, that would be right with dd at camp, sleeping in tents oh well I had better get her up or she wont be ready when its time to go. Cold here in the mountains this morning, and I'm off to Lithgow by train with a group of girls for the day - and anyone knows Lithgow is much much colder. .. Its ok Shazz, I'm going to a View Club do. .. Thought about ringing Faye, but then I wouldnt have time to see her anyway. .. Be funny if it was snowing .. well not really, it would be exciting. ..
