I am shuddering still. I very quickly closed all the doors and made sure the animals were indoors. Neville went out with a rake and directed it away from the house. SuzyQ

allo allo allo Joodee (like the french accent? lol) Ken and I are heading to the Silver Sands Resort in Mandurah (about an hour sth of perth - I think) for a week 18th-25th August. We are going to hire a car to get around, can't see Ken sitting still for more than a day, so what are your suggestions? We haven't been there since 1979 - so things must have changed a little bit - lol Whats up with Laurie has she caught a dreadful lurgy - or is she just exhausted from all that work she has been doing. jude

ello ello ello! So many questions to answer. .. I spoke to Laurie earlier, I hope she is feeling better tomorrow than she is right now. ... Its been drizzling here most of the morning, a real wintry day .. Jude - Wilson - I dont mind where we meet in Bendigo as long as I can find the ruddy place!!! I have only been to that restaurant once, I think you (W) and Lara went the 2nd time, and if you were shifting tables more than we did, no wonder you want to go somewhere else hee hee heee. .. I would be in Bendigo for about 2 weeks mid January. Princess Di(y)and Wilson - what are your plans in Perth - where you staying where you going???? how long for???? .. I'm from Perth, remember! Not a word from the Mudgee Queen, she mustn't have taken her lappy with her. Jood

Afternoon all Heather there is no need to be green with envy at the moment, p****ing down rain in Brissie, beautiful wet rain. Tropical fruits are too expensive to buy and all the good stuff goes south anyway, no lush greenery - all dead from lack of rain, no sunshine today and the beaches are a bit dull. The fantastic company I'm sure will more than make up for it. You are right about the hotels being booked out. Spent last night and all morning trying to find somewhere to stay. Have a good weekend Pam

Hello Wattlers All, Vonny you're special to have no ads - you're blocker must be magic!! Devly, I've got that 'Kangoo' careering all over the place today too lol. Trust you Lara to have the love hearts lol !! Anna, I'm meeting a girlfriend for coffee this arvo, she's just the type to wear a purple dress and a red hat, maybe I'll start up that club here in Albury lol... Btw, My DD14 is going to NZ for just 8 days for a choir festival based in Rotorua, they do workshops and performances, she's looking forward to the jazz singing workshop in particular (she's not bad in the shower!!) Just jumped on wotif to check out the vacancies is Brissie this weekend, and boy it's booked out! Everybody have a marvellous time won't you, enjoy the WARMTH, and the LUSH GREENERY, the TROPICAL FRUITS, SUNSHINE, BEACHES, FANTASTIC COMPANY, LOTS OF LAUGHS etc etc, can you tell I'm green with jealousy lol. Well I'm spending the weekend cleaning up after plasterers who finally came yesterday to fix the storm damage from last Decmber, one lounge room wall and the ceiling replaced, lots of incidental little bits of filling done at the same time, I will now get ready for painters, yipee!! We were quite surprised at the amount of water damage, which didn't come to light till after Xmas, when the ceiling sagged!! The roof's been fixed but don't really know how successfully until we get more RAIN ( are you listenin' Huey?). Have a fantastic weekend everyone, Hz in Albury

Afternoon all Rebs I have no idea why they would be a little worried pmsl. Say hello to Anna for me when you see her please, as she is 1 of only 2 that I have met personally on here as yet. Pam pmsl about ear muffs, if it says as cold as it is now for next weekend then we will be rugged up soo much with scalves, beanies etc we wont be able to move, I went out to get the mail at about 12.00 and there was still a bit of frost on the ground that hadnt got any sun as yet. Well I just heated a pie and had for lunch and realised that all the breakky and lunch dishes are sitting waiting to be done and OH will be home in just under an hour from work, so I had better get of this thing and do some work so he dont go crook lol, he wouldnt do that cause he loves me hee hee. Yes Sue, don't think I'd like to be sitting in front of them. They won't let something like that happen again so the sirens are probably really really loud. Take your ear muffs just in case Pam

Morning Pam Yes they have fixed the siren, instead of 1 set of 2 sirens, they now have 2 sets of 4 sirens mounted in different places on the ground. Knowing my bloody luck, one of them will be mounted behind the cheersquad, where we sit, and it will frighten the life outta us. I have been told that they have been heard about a kilometre away, when they had a game there last week so if the umpies dont hear it there is something wrong, what amused me thought is everyone else, especially the Freo players heard the siren and they was standing right next to the umpy. I will admit though it was quiet as the last game I went to, I was watching the game and wondered why they all stopped playing, expecting a free kick or something, then I realised the siren had gone but I didnt hear it and thought it was just that sitting with the cheersquad we was making too much noise to hear the siren lol. Cheers Sue

Morning all, snatching a quick break at morning tea :) I have had binocculars top/bottom and right all week at home BUT I have just realised there is NOTHING at all on this computer at work, not even a cherry on the left of screen. The Lunatic bit is there but that is Genes. No ITV nothing. Isn't it funny how we all have different things. Cloudy, grey but not really very cold this morning. My youngest son is going to try and get his car registered this morning. He bought it about 3 years ago and left it in Albury - Heather will remember the saga of us bringing it back to Canberra earlier this year - and it has been unregistered ever since. He finally has a part-time job so can now afford it. ~~~~~~~~~~Vonny
