Hi Fellow Waffling Wattlers, Greetings from the returnee from Port Douglas! didn't get on here last week before we left as I had a quilt to finish (yes another one) and was flat out at work as well. Have now caught up on last 20 pages. Will put a piccie of the quilt on Money Pit in the next few days. I had withdrawal symptoms from not being able to get on to Wattle thread, I even tried a solo 'shopping trip' to go to the internet cafe but got sprung!.lol. luckily I hadn't paid for access. Left last Thursday night got into Port D. at 2.00am very bleary eyed. Had 5 days with our loverly daughter and SIL. Weather was 26/27 every day - got off plane at 12.00am this morning to a brisk 6 deg. Its great to be home ( smiling from ear to ear) I love melbourne weather! Ken wanted to turn around and go back and hasn't stopped whingeing since. He's a thongs and t-shirt man. Me -I like Melbourne variety. Glad to see your're back on deck Jood, so pleased you are feeling better. Vonny now I have another reason for not moving north - TICKS!!! arrggghh, glad to hear you are also feeling better. You lot are rather crazy you know - its so much fun to catch up on your news/madness.Im sooo glad to be back. Now I must away home to get back to 'domestic bliss' cooking dinner , and catching up on loads of washing. Decided to have a name change do you like it? Catch you all tomorrow jude 3

Well Joodles, I don't think any wealthy Emirs would have wanted to run of into the desert with any of those belly dancers. Slapping my hand for being so sarcastic, at least they tried. SuzyQ running for a tena I really must check my spelling more often, what would my English teacher say.

Careful Vonny .. make sure the cat's outside before you go waltzing around the place .. don't want you in plaster. I can imagine the video Suzy. .. I think I laughed at myself more than anyone else. .. I'm a terrible giggler sometimes. Jood

Ah Jude, you are just a bit green around the gills. All the excitement happens in Brissie. And that's where Nefer and his bros live. Now wonder what kind of dancing is performed by 6'6' nubians Walks off dancing 'like an Egyptian.' SuzyQ phsl

Hi Joodles, My friends daughter, who is about 35, also does belly dancing. She is a lovey girl, but quite ungainly, and her class also does an end of the year performance. We didn't go, but some one took a video of it and they brought it with them for us to watch at christmas. We had a very hard time holding in our laughter, had a few tena moments. SuzyQ

SuzyQ ... I was doing a belly dancing class with my daughter a few years ago, .. at the end of term we were doing this special dance (not in front of anyone fortunately) .. we had to sort of twist our veils around behind us as we were dancing, and mine accidentally covered my face ... couldnt see a bloomin thing! .. I just broke up laughing. Typical of me! Not at all elegant! Jood

SuzyQ Report 31 May 2006 07:35

Vonny, you paint a wonderful picture. Maybe the Bollywood dancing, with a bit of belly dancing, would suit us older more respecable ladies better. pmsl Dance of the seven veils!!!!!!! SuzyQ

Judy Report 31 May 2006 07:32

Please dont make me laugh Vonny, it starts me coughing .. pmsl ..... a darn good description tho, and I can visualise you quite well. Hooooraaaaaay the chicken came home!!!!!! Rebs might just like a bit of latin on the side, but wots wrong the Nefer bros? .. pmsl Jood

SuzyQ Report 31 May 2006 07:32

Good news. I just went to round up the chooks, like to send them to bed with a warm meal in winter, and the lost chook has turned up, looking no worse for her adventure. They are all securely locked in now. I think Rebs, being the youngest and having a dancer in the family, would enjoy a bit of latin on the side. LOL Loe SuzyQ

*Vonny, rose (clenched) in teeth, glides across page to music of Hernandos Hideaway (which she can't spell). Trips over cat (who let the cat in?) sprawls flat on face in front of crowd and is dragged away by Rebs (who is red-faced or is that the wrong show?) muttering dire threats* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ppppppppp
