Afternoon all, Three times in one evening last week, I had the phone ring and when I answered a (mechanical) voice said 'thank you for calling, an operator will be with you shortly!!' Oooooo is Brisvegas so close? It only seems like yesterday we were at Yarrawonga! Answering two questions asked while I was away: Unfortunately July is still in the rainy season for Chiang Mai, so I am expecting it to be hot and humid :) No - John's marine engine hasn't turned up. I think he is reconciled to the fact that it is unlikely to. Actually, I'm feeling dizzy tonight, I got a tick - on my head- while we were away and am reacting to it I think ~~~~~~~~~~~~ to all and I might be on later. Vonny |

Hi Wouldn't you just hate to be a tele marketer? At one company I worked for they put me in credit control for a couple of days. I hated ringing and asking for people to pay their bills. I might be a bit better at it now that I am older and wiser. LOL Lew lew, are you sure that you want this gang at your home in Feb. The poor fish won't know what has hit them. Maybe you should put a tent ( marquee ) up in the paddock for everyone. Sue, I hope your parents have a nice holiday and i am glad to hear that you ex MIL is feeling better. Anna, hope the daughter's exam went well. Lew, did you buy a rug from an Indian? Do you know they have very young children slaving away to make those rugs for hardly any pay or food. I saw a programme on TV all about it. They were virtually tied to the looms for over 12 hours a day. Hope you bought an Australian made one or from some civilised country. Now I wish I hadn't said that, I don't mean to upset you. I am going to run away now before I get some thing thrown at me LOL Luv SuzyQ |

Hey, sometimes you have to be careful with those calls. Terry had one the other day from 'Ali' that he was about to get rid of, when he discovered that it was actually the guy who was trying to deliver our rug to us, lol. Went out at lunchtime and bought some river rocks for the fishpond. Should look beautiful! Fish will probably be in next week. How you going Jood? Taking it easy it hope, although I suspect you may have snuck out today!!! Having some girls over for lunch on Friday, so might have to chuck a sickie! We all use to go to the gym together, but now we're just known as the 'lard arse' girls, pmsl. Hope that hypnotherapy don't kick in, Queen. We like you just the way you are! *note to self - 'remember to bring additional medication and restraining devices'* ~~~waves to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx |

I didn't mean to leave him there that long......honest !!! Mind you, that's the third time this company (selling cheap holidays) has called withing the space of a week. Each time the MO is the same, they ask for a name - different each time - and when they have the ' wrong ' number they rattle off the number and ask for the owner of said number. Woman on Friday called at 6 pm. I went off at her then, telling her it is dinner time here, and hung up. but she was a rude bitch. At least todays caller was quietly polite. |

Good afternoon Wattlers, Spent last few hours ironing - don't bother sending yours Laurie - I still have some from last week to catch up on. Have new friend who doesn't seem to want to go home - trouble when you start feeding cats from next door - such a friendly little girl she is - my 2 boys take no notice although Ginger seems a bit put out - would have thought he'd like some female companionship - obviously the snip has brought on a lack of interest - lol Vonny - only one of the Bulger killers was sent to Oz - the other one has just fathered a child in Britain somewhere - poor girl involved doesn't know his past Sue - hope your Mum & Dad have a lovely holiday. Glad ex-m-i-l is making progress. Mary - hope you're able to find a nice unit soon so you can go ahead with the sale. Rebs - I did that one night - wouldn't take no for an answer so I just put phone down went back to dishes and cooking tea and when I was ready to eat went back to phone & hung up - he was long gone. Now I let answering machine deal with any calls that come up 'private call'. Well back to more ironing - would rather do some FH but better look like I have been really busy - pmsl Have a great rest of the day peeps, catch y'all later Gwenda |

Sometimes I hate this site....I've just lost the post...bugger! Anyway lets try again. Afternoon Wafflers. It was a bit chilly here last night. I think autumn has come to Qld at last. Had to put on a shirt this morning, brrrrrrr. I'll have to re-think my wardrobe for Brisvegas. Joodles....are you resting? Now your exercise for the day. Take a deep breath, that's it....fill those lungs! Now hold that untill I tell you to exhale. Hi Laurie....where did you get those drawings of me pmsl? It was looking in a mirror when I saw the email. And I loved the badges. If I can find some one who makes them I'd love to get some. I'm at the stage of my life that very few people are big enough between the head-lights to bother me. (cleaned that up a bit hee hee). Anna...how did Katherine go with the exam? Early happy birthday hugs to Chris. Lew Lew...will we see Mudgee Manor in Beautiful Homes of the Retired? Not long to go now. Hi Vonny..how long to the big trip? It should be a good time....the humidity should be lower. Rebs...yooo hooo...how's things? I'll be good in Brisvegas. Graeme has started me on the hypno-therapy. 'I will not misbehave, I will not misbehave, I will misbehave.' Ooops, sorry. Missed a 'not' in there somewhere pmsl. I spoke to my puta geek this morning. He has the utmost faith in my ability to change the CMOS battery. Graeme's comment was....'Oh, sh*t'. Mark is off tomorrow so we are going to attack the beast then. If you don't hear from me after tonight, it will be because I've stuffed it up. Heading off now to do some more tweeking to Graems spread-sheet. And get some more coffee. 'Byeeee Love Trifley PS JOODLES.....breath OUT. pmsl. |

Laurie, yes I didnt think it was much time neither, but they left me their itinery from the travel agent, and it had the times on that, I suppose they wont have to worry about luggage just gettting from one plane to the other, unless it is the same plane and they are only stopping to refuell and take on more passengers??? It is sad for the spirit, maybe they can get one of the ships on the Devonport Melbourne run to do just one return trip a week to Sydney instead of having the three ships. What type of soup you having tonight? Rebs I also say to those pesky telemarketers sorry cant understand you and hang up. Yes I cant wait for the registry to start so we can block the calls. Cheers Sue |

Well done Rebs . . . luv it . . . we have a few little things we do to the nice little Indian man too - ***speak Indonesian to him (even though we aren't fluent he doesn't know that - so just say a whole lot of words we do know that make no sense) ***ask him to call me back on another number and give him number for the Premiers Dept. Ray was going to make up a list of numbers but hasn't got to it yet only have Premiers Dept by the phone ***after you say beg your pardon about 10 times he says thank you and hangs up Back to the loop luv Laurie |

Devly . . . think that was Mum & Dads plane that just landed . . 35mins they will only have enough time to take a deep breathe! That is sad if they take the ferry off - but I guess if its not making them any money . . watched it go past the heads yesterday afternoon actually, Ray always says we must do that one day! OK peeps . . make sure you tell all your friends to tick the box on the census form this year to say they agree to the info being retained and made public in 100years time . . . show them all a census image from UK, so they know how handy it is for researching, and how 100years is long enough not to be invasive. Not going to help any of us - but still should be done !!! Off to put some more veges in the loop-da-loop pot! cheers luv Laurie |

Hi Mary, I am here, didn't leave a message, thought that I would wait until some one appeared. Glad that you had a nice lunch, is it raining in Sydnet today. Once again the sun is shining here. If only we could get a few rainy days together. We shouldn't complain, it would be worse if we got earth quakes and volcanos. Catch uplater, like you I am looking for dead peeps but now getting far. Hi All Have been busy doing early spring cleaning. I know it isnt even winter but our landlord is making noises about selling the house again and I want to sort some of the things out that we dont use and throw out so we are moving less stuff. Ex mil is coming along ok. She is starting to get p***ed off with the dr's, so she must be feeling better. Thankyou for all your kind thoughts. It is freezing here today, a real cold southerly breeze blowing, but no rain. Jill Glad to see your daughter is getting her life together. As you said yoou was always there for her but she did have to do it for herself and have the willpower to go through it, which obviously she did. Hope she goes well with getting her drivers licence. Mary lol about the inheritances and parents going on ski holidays. I just dropped my parents at the airport for a 2 week holiday going to Cairns, while their they are going on the Skyrail train experience, then down to Airlie Beach and the Great Barrier Reef, Brisbane and Melbourne, when they was organising the trip they was debating on what to see and we told them not to worry how much it cost as they was only Skiing lol. I hope John starts improving soon. Have you spotted any units you like yet? Anna, hope Katherine went well in her exam. An early happy birthday wish to Chris. Laurie, heard on the news over here that the Spirit of Tas might be pulled from the Sydney run as its loosing too much money, that will be one less ship to watch for you. I stood out on my veranda and watched my Mum and Dad plane take off and head for Sydney, they are due in Sydney at 2.55 so you may see the Virgin plane go past if you are watching. They only have about an 35 mins in Sydney before they take off for Cairns. Lew you must be really happy that the house is nearly finished, with furniture and all, look forward to the pics. Hi to everyone I havent mentioned. Catch you all after. Cheers Sue |
