I have read of some incredible uses for Duck Tape recently. A cure for verrucas and warts. People using it to prevent blisters on marathons, and on their face to protect from frost bite. It has held a cracked lid for many a year for me!! |

I,ll help to nudge this. Very interested myself. Friend of mine has a pair of white golf shoes which are a bit much for his image. He put black duck tape as a banding thereon and the tape stayed for ages, despite an awful lot of damp-ness. Happy days |

Cheers Harry Another I read - Belly Remover: To remove that hideous middle-aged gut, simply apply a strip of duct tape over your mouth for six days to two months. |

Heel Softener. The skin on the heels of me feet gets very dry and will crack, leaving an extremely painful and uncomfortable. By taping the heels the natural oil and moisture is retained, the areas remain moist and comfortable. There are many who suffer from this. There are prescription creams made for it. I have found the tape to be much better. You just put it on and forget it. - Michael N. |

And now, the step-by-step instructions - as posted on WebMD: Tape occlusion for wart removal Tape occlusion is an inexpensive method of wart removal that involves covering the wart with tape. It is often called the 'duct tape' method. • Cut a piece of adhesive tape as close to the size of the wart as possible. • Leave the tape in place for 6 days. If the tape falls off, put on a new piece. • After 6 days, remove the tape and soak the area in water. Then gently rub the wart surface down with an emery board or pumice stone. Leave the tape off overnight. • Repeat this process until the wart is gone, but not longer than 2 months. One small study found that in 22 out of 26 people, common warts went away completely within 2 months. In most people, they were gone in 28 days.1 References: 1 Focht DR III, et al. (2002). The efficacy of duct tape vs cryotherapy in the treatment of verruca vulgaris (the common wart). Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, 156(10): 971–974. |

halos reattached. that was not my suggestion mind. Duck tape - a sticky plastic strip that can be used to repair barckages. Have you got a leaky dinggy (?sp?), wet suit or boat? duck tape the leak and watch as it stays in place! |
