Unfortunately it is dimming out side now and where I would have to go is a bit isolated so I have taken heed!!!!!! Plus its freezing out there. I always walk the dog in the morning along the beach so maybe I will get a glimpse tomorrow. There has been a police helicopter flying around this afternoon so perhaps that is to do with it. GLoria |

I do hope that they get their backsides into gear, and do something now rather than later to try and save it. Suzy :o) x |

Stranded whale dies on mud bank A 30ft whale which became stranded in the Humber has died, coastguards said. The immature sperm whale became stuck on mud off Kilnsea, on Spurn Point, East Yorkshire, on Saturday morning. Local people raised the alarm and lifeboat crews, coastguards and firefighters all tried to help the stricken animal. As the tide reached its lowest point in the afternoon the whale was virtually clear of the water. Some reports said it had a large gash on its side. A Humber Coastguard spokeswoman said arrangements were being made for the whale's carcass to be removed. The Receiver of the Wreck and the Natural History Museum were being informed as required by law. |

Oh that really is sad. Why oh why does this keep happening lately. There are some wind farms in the area and I kow some people say it could be the noise or vibratins from them that throw them of course. Gloria |

It wasn't really out of its way at Spurn Point though. That's where the mouth of the Humber is............right next to the North Sea |

Hiya There were 2 of 4 whales two weeks ago (i read it in the Paper, but can't remember the full story) which were beached on the coast of Almeria Spain. They put it down to a submarine, something to do with the sound waves which made the whales go off course. Annie (in spain) xx |

just heard of another washed up of the Norfolk coast bringing the total to 4 in recent weeks along the east coast apparently. Said they are hoping for a spring tide to wash it away or it will cost £20,000 to remove the carcuss!!!!!! How can it cost that much? |
