Just want to check something with you. Hubby bought a Smoothy Maker for Christmas and one of the recipes we want to use says we need to add Oatmeal. My question is, is that what we English call Porridge Oats? I'm feeling a bit dense today.

Again not American but I'm sure that you use Porrige oats when you make oatmeal cookies, so would say yes. There also called rolled oats in some books.

Hi Joy, Yes, oatmeal is like Quaker Oats. Now I have a question for you. What kind of a smoothie are you making? It sounds healthier than the ones I make. lol.

Hi Joy there are different grades of oatmeal for cooking ,i think a medium or fine grade would be ok for a smoothie. Happy blending, wendy
