Hi I was wondering how easy it is to get to Auchinstarry from Glasgow airport. Is Auchinstarry the only place to start canal holiday for the Falkirk wheel? Thanks Penny |

Hi Thanks ever so much - I just did some surfing on the net & that seemed to be the main place to start - as you have said - it's in the middle of nowhere so seems to take ages to get there from the airport. It's between Falkirk & Kirkintilloch!! penny |

hi Penny Im sure there are holidays starting at the wheel itself and Falkirk has two stations both linking to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The wheel is a marvellous feat of engineering, I live not far from it. { an exiled geordie in Scotland} |

Well it wont be far from the airport then, as Falkirk itself is only 45 mins from Glasgow airport, and Kirkintilloch is even nearer. I willl check T info tomorrow to find the starting points for you and any info I can pick up. |
