I work in a sheltered housing scheme with the elderly and we often have strange smells which we can usually connect to a passed resident. Maggy |

Hi Baby Butterfly Just do as Norah says and say hello. I often know when my gran is around because I can smell Johnsons baby products which is all she used. Nothing to worry about. Dianne xx |

My great grandma apparently always used Freesia scented perfume and many a time my grandparents had a strong smell of it in the house especially around xmas time when all the family were together. I think she came back to join in the festivities! In my old house that I grew up in we used to get up many a morning to a kitchen filled with what looked and smelled like pipe smoke (nobody smoked) and one day an old gent passed the house as my mum was outside and he started telling her that his friend used to live there and that they had many goodtimes there playing cards in the back room (which was now my mums kitchen) and she asked if any of them smoked a pipe and he said yes how did you know that. ...I know what you mean, but seriously my 'smell' is of smelly feet - I had a go at my husband a few times, but realised it wasn't him, his shoes or his socks. The smell would come, usually in the bedroom at night when I went to the bathroom - I had everything out, the bed, mattress, everything - it would appear, then just as suddenly go. I don't know anyone whose passed who had smelly feet. I have asked whoever it is for another clue - but nothing, and it hasn't happened since. Had smells of flowers after my mum died though. |
