Have recently read suggestions for the recommended daily water intake ranging from 1 to 2 litres per day. Seems an awful lot to me. Does fruit juice, tea, coffee etc count or does it have to be tap/bottled water neat? Anyone drink this much? Does it have positive effects please before I start a new health campaign tomorrow? I have around 5 pints as water itself, don't know about 1 cup of tea and other drinks add up to. |

Water's always good for you Jenny, although my hubby says it tastes better with hops! Daisy |

Fruit flavoured tea-bags count but not ordinary tea or fruit juice, also boiled water with a slice of lemon counts. I get most of my water intake this way and find that my complexion has been clearer since drinking more water. |

Hi. Drinking water is very good for your health all round. I drink between 2 - 2 1/2 ltrs a day. If i dont i do notice a difference. Go for it. Over the day its not much. As someone else has also said, adding tea coffee does not count towards the total. Deb :-) |

I understand it to be clear fluids, ie water, fruit juice, squash, but NOT tea and coffee as they are diuretic. 2 litres does seem a lot. I know I don't drink enough! Claire xx |

I do drink about 2 litres a day (bottled) can't stomach the tap water here. tea, coffee, only count on weight watchers if it's black. |

normally if you discount caffein (sp??) drinkes like tea, coffee, coke but alot of people only drink these. The RDA of water is 8 glasses (250mls each) or 2 letres about 4 to 5 pints. |

I drink still plain water, as long as its pure, but make sure you read the contents, personally I think just plain is better. Roxannex |
