You're not the only one - I've lost loads this last month and we're starting to run short. Where does he put them - or does he swap odd socks between peoples machines? |

I have a whole basket of odd socks so I think he's left some of them here. Angela |

You are lucky, honestly, I put a pair in and get one sock back. What are you supposed to do with one sock? Granny |

I thought it was me doing something wrong with the washing. I have a couple of dozen odd socks!! I just leave them hoping that one day their partner will turn up but that is a rare occurence :-( Penny |

OK Janet, we could get them altogether and see if we can pair any of them up. Granny |

That's a good idea Granny. But where should we get together? Do you think Hyde Park would be big enough for all those odd socks? LOL |

I have those little plastic feet things - they work but only if people use them (which is rare in my house). The only answer is to buy loads of pairs of identical socks. That way, if you do lose some you can pair up what's left. That is unless you put one in with a coloured wash so it doesn't match the rest any more - something hubby does quite regularly. I think he does it deliberately so I won't ask him to help. Angela :o) |

Janet as you are in Yorkshire, and I live in Scarborough, do you think the beach would be big enough for all the socks? Granny |

There used to be 5 of us, and I had loads of single socks. Then the kids left home and I thought great! I won't have this problem any more - and guess what - its still the same - what on earth can happen to them? I am getting really annoyed with it - but isnt it good when you can match an odd sock... |
