Here I am sat in the back room, with my headphones on, singing for England along to all the nice sloppy songs I have downloaded (ahem! since I learnt how to do it myself!!). Now the thing is, I am sure I am singing in tune, beautifully, but husband, youngest son and his friend are all wearing pained expressions, and I can see their mouths moving. When I take the earphones off, I realise that they are screeching for me to stop and telling me how bad my voice is - how very dare they!! Just now I am singing along to 'Hurt' by The Manhattans, and that is just what I am, HURT!! Can you hear me? I don't sound that bad do I? None of you have ever mentioned my singing or told me to shut up, or are you all just too polite? Maybe, you can't hear me, 'cause you are all singing along to your own sloppy songs!! Well, if it keeps us happy!! Let me know if you want me to sing louder and I will happily oblige!!! All sing along now 'HURT TO THINK THAT YOU LIED TO ME, HURT WAY DOWN DEEP INSIDE OF ME, YOU SAID OUR LOVE WAS TRUE AND WE'D NEVER PART, NOW YOU FOUND SOMEONE NEW AND IT BREAKS MY HEART, I'M HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURT' XX

Perhaps like me you are tone deaf. I think I sound great, but others disagree. Just a thought. Granny

Granny, in my opinion they are just jealous of my beautiful singing voice! I sound lovely to myself, in fact, most of the time I am better than the original songs!!!!!! That's my opinion and I am sticking to it - at least until the plug is pulled!!! La La La La La La xxx.

I agree with you, to me I sound great, but nobody else agrees with me. Keep your earplugs in and carry on, ignore them all, and enjoy. Granny

Mancunians recognise a good voice when they hear one screech!! From a Salfordian to a Mancunian!! xx

How strange and wonderful, that so many brilliant singers, and indeed so many people who appreciate a good tune, should be on the same site. We must get it from our ancestors don't you think?? xx
