I have a dream which I would dearly hope for but not sure if it would happen. I have a 1/2 brother aged 9 who lives in Zimbabwe who I have never met. I would really like to meet him. Zimbabwe is very 3rd world and I have been told is not suitable for wheelchair users. I will have to think of a plan. Fi x

Yes. I have six branches of my father's family tree that I can't yet connect to the main one - One in Scotland One in Cumberland One in Essex One in Ireland One in Yorkshire One in Surrey. My dream come true would be for living members of all of those branches to contact me with details of the family connections, so that the whole kit and caboodle was complete and I can register it as a one-name study and produce a family book. CB >|< P S I am, of course, a firm believer in the premise that pigs CAN fly!

Yes, I would love to find out about my grandad and what on earth happened to him, eg when he died and how. His name was Abraham Harrison, born 1875 in Methley, Yorkshire. He married Lucy Clarkson in 1904 in Leeds, but he died and nobody ever spoke of him to say when he died or how. He was my Mum's father, she was born in 1908 - name Gwendoline Harrison.

Would love to find where my great grandad Titlow disappeared to between 1830 to 1881. I know he was in the Indian Uprising 1851-1853. Sue

To help my husband gain a sense of who he is. His dad (now dead) was the result of an affair, abandoned by his mother (also probably now dead). There was a family feud over it. The clues I have found in the last 3 years haven't led anywhere so I'm hoping for a breakthrough for him in 2006. There's a death certificate I'm going to order which I am hoping very much might be it. I've put off doing it because it may lead to more disappointment for him, but its on my list of things to do (discreetly) next week. Angela

Fee, Zimbabwe is where my cousins live but I have not heard from them in over a year now. It never used to be a third world country - it was a very beautiful place but the government they have now .............. I wonder if your family over there could (if allowed) get to South Africa, say Capetown and you could meet up with them there?

Well, two dreams really... The first is my 2 x GGF. I have been looking for him for 20 years and in the last FIVE years have managed to push him back from 1861 to - wait for it - 1859!!! I MAY have found his illegitimate birth, but cannot confirm its him without other evidence, which I cannot find, of course. This man is laughing at me, I know he is. The other, is the mystery of The Photograph - a man bearing the same family surname, spitting image of my late father but born 70 years earlier. I have traced the mystery man's family back to 1750 but STILL cannot connect the two families - I really would like to solve this one before I die! On the up-side, I have, with minimal effort, traced three lines back to 1554 - the little darlings all farmed in one small village for 350 years and married their cousins. Olde Crone
