Hello All (again), Have taken to the bottle in hopes that it will help - will it?? At least we might get a good nights sleep. I feel so sorry for the poor blo!&*y firemen and those that have had their homes damaged. (One good thing about living in an old dwelling). Will they learn from this? I doubt it as the planners will still try and build too close, within the safety zone of a depot. Once again, thanks - your messages have helped. Nes |

Thanks to you all - you have cheered me up. Like you said, it could be worse. I think it is lack of sleep as well as the events of the last couple days. Only managed a couple of hours last night thinking of the Firemen and what they were facing. There is just Mum and I. Mum said the explosion was worse than any that she experienced during WW2 and she had a few misses there. Have to take a leaf out of her book and 'just get on with it'. We have been offered accommodation elsewhere but when you are 83 you want to take the kitchen sink with you - so it is easier to stay put. I think I will have that drink - might help me to doze of infront of the tele. Take care all of you, and once again thanks. Nesta |

Nesta You and your mum are all right. If you need to be moved I am sure people will help you. I haven't done any Christmas shopping either and I haven't written a single card! I live in North Herts and I slept right through the explosions. It's grim now, but I am sure that it will soon be an exciting event to tell people. Chin up - and I am sure you can have one little drink without anything very dreadful happening! nell |

Hello all, I live in Hemel about 3/4 mile from the depot- no need to say more. Today we have been under the cloud of smoke and suddenly it hit us how close we came to .... I have just had a good cry and would love a drink but I have an 83 year mother with me and there is a new allert that might have us evacuated. I feel really down. So please, some of you lovely people out there try and cheer me up. And I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet - oh Help!!! Nesta |
