Julia, I decided not to watch the programme as I saw David Essex three times in concerts many years ago and did not want to spoil the memories. Maureen

OK then, there was a programme on tonight where Justin Lee collins tried to get together a group of artists who had had christmas number 1's to make a record that would become a classic CN1. Among others, David Essex was there and he sang main vocals, he must be 60 odd now, but oh yes, I definately would!!! you can hear the track at channel(*)com/music

Hi Julia I watched the programme last night! Think David Essex is still brilliant! I liked the record they made, and it would be good if they did make it to no 1 this Christmas! By the way, David is 58, not 60 odd. :-) He's lovely! Jan
