We've got -Illuminated icicles dangling from the facias, -Happy chrismas flashing in the middle of the house wall, - 13 Other (yes 13) sets of lights/illuminated thinggies either flashing or just lit... ... including 3' high reindeer , 5 of them , galloping across the front lawn towing santa. They are going to drive me bananas! |

one of my neighbours put his up earlier. lights all over the house plus a reindeer (with lights), what I can only describe as 'lights sticks' stuck in the ground along the front of the house, and to top it all, an 8 foot inflatable Winnie the Pooh (in santa garb). All very tasteful eh ? |

They flash thru the flippin curtains! Not colour co-ordinated and they are not sychronised either.... 2 santas and 2 snow men each 18'' high flashing + the reindeer and sled on the grass (all 12' x12' of it!) |

There was a bit in my local paper this week, a couple have had their decorations vandalised... Vandals cut through six cables supplying the 16,000 watt decorations....this is the front garden of a tiny terraced house. The decos included an inflatable flashing (LOL) Santa, Santa's Grotto, various reindeer bedecked with lights and a flashing Nativity Scene. I laughed to myself, bet it was their neighbours. Olde Crone |

Jess Only FIVE reindeer? Come on, there's Rudolph and Donner and Blitzen and Prancer and Dancer and Dasher and Vixen and Comet and Cupid. That's 9 at least! I think your neighbour is cutting corners, with only 5. LOL! nell |

..and to think that when he was ferreting about in his garage with trails of lights , that he told me ''not many this year because of my bad back''. Cripes , I dread to think what it could have been like! |

A few years ago, driving in the dark in a remote moorland part of Cornwall, we came across a cottage absolutely ablaze with lights, decos, moving gizmos, the lot, for whose benefit I do not know...my beloved remarked gloomily 'Gawd! (well something like that) They must be able to see that on the moon!' Olde Crone |

Lots of lights up already round some houses in Norwich. Many of them have collecting boxes fixed up and collect for charity from people going round to have a look at them. Don't mind those ones, but some people do try to outdo their neighbours and go well over the top. |
