Some bloke said he had a bomb in his bag on a plane. The air marshal shot him dead. |

After 9/11 the public were warned Air Marshalls would be on all internal flights in the USA weren't they? If this man has done this as a practical joke, or even as a serious attempt, I think he should have been shot. Not necessarily to kill him though. I'm just glad no-one else was hurt. Joy |

A passenger claiming to have a bomb on board an American Airlines plane in Miami has been shot and wounded by a US federal officer, officials have said. The passenger, who has been arrested, was challenged by the air marshal after he seemed to reach into a bag. He tried to flee and was shot. The incident is said to have occurred on the jetway between the plane and the airport terminal. The plane had just arrived from Colombia, and was headed to Orlando. |

This shooting occured on the runway between the terminal and the plane. He was shot and wounded when he tried to run away from an air marshal. The plane had just landed from Colombia and was headed to Orlando. News is on Ceefax page106. Sue |
