Anna If I did that I run the risk of a broken ankle or worse lol - have 4 cats who like to sprawl out wherever and there is generally one skulking on the stairs at night lol

Get a painting roller extending pole. They can be bought fron any DIY store, seperately from the roller itself. Either strap your duster on the end, or get a fleecy painting roller too. Been there, done that. :o) RW

Anne, Our local 'Around a Pound' shop in Sittingbourne sold me a telescopic feather duster, so they must exist !

Tie it to a garden cane, that's what we do.

My staircase has a facing wall that drops from upper ceiling height - so looking at about an 8 foot drop - not including the drop from the bottom to stair level. And I have a shameful cobweb collection in the upper corners that at best would need a long stepladder to even get the hoover near it - not something I intend to attempt pmsl. I need an extra long extending one but dont know where I can get one - Ebay only has the 'normal' extenders about 2 foot or so!!!
