Hi everyone Sorry not to have replied to all your lovely messages before now, a BIG THANK YOU. The worst bit for me, regarding my op was the local anaesetic going in near the eye - that was painful. Am feeling a bit more cheerful today, and been out doing a bit of retail therapy. You are a great bunch here on Genes - a family now in its own right.. For those who have problems, all good wishes, and hugs. Oce again many thanks - Liz

Well, Ive not had a good few years so I am hoping that things will turn now and I hope they will for you. BUT on the plus side, its sounds like a good prognosis. I had a lump off my upper eye lid back in April and I was surprised how quick it all was. It was fine - a cyst apparently - and has stayed fine. Good luck my love.

I've had a few scares with my eyes over the years. Amazing how much dressings and stuff can bring you down, you can't forget they are there, can you? :o( Feeling sore and no way to ignore it. Perhaps you could try putting a favourite album on headphones and relax. Big HUG. RW

Hi Feeling a bit down at the moment. I had to go to Guys Hospital yesterday, as a day patient, to have a 'spot' removed from my right lower eyelid. Have appointment next monday to remove stitches. I have to go and see the Consultant on 23rd December for a check up and to get results from the biopsy. At best it will be a spot that would not heal, at worst it could be basal cell carcinoma, which should not spread elsewhere. So now I have a sore eyelid, which is partially covered with dressing, and findin it hard to blink. Not been a good year, found out I was Diabetic at end of MAy, - which I've come to terms with, and also Mum has ongoing medical problems, including diabetes, and has now been registered partially sighted. Thanks for reading Liz
