Hi, does anyone know if it is possible that you can see who is online at any particular time?

Not sure, but I would think it would be if you saw their name on one of the boards. Granny

What happens if they don't post though? Not looking for anyone in particular just wondered if there was any way of finding out. Thanks anyway though :o)

Perhaps it could be an option to show if you are on line - that way we could communicate if we wanted to! Allie x

That's fair enough. Some sites have the option to appear offline to others so they wouldn't be able to tell

You beat me to it Allie!!

Good point - I am often on line just 'listening in' with no intention of participating. Other times I feel in the mood. A list would be an asset.

No, and it shouldn't be possible either. This isn't a chat room it is a genealogy research site. Most of the people who log to the site never go near the message boards.

I'm aware this is a family history site Peter, just thought it would be a useful addition, and there are actually places on this site where you can chat.
