of Madonna's new album 'Confessions on a Dancefloor'? I love it and have played it to death the last few days. I also bought Kate Bush's new one but havent quite made up my mind yet.

Hello Sheila Haven't bought either but have heard lots of both - Madonna's is very easy on the ear and some wicked dance tracks but I love Kate Bush's voice still - it's very ethereal (if that's the word and spelling) and some of it will take a lot of listening to but it will hold my interest a lot longer than Madonna's will.

i have not heard Kate Bush's new album yet, but would love to... she has a fantastic voice.

Hi just got out of the bath and have been listening to Kate on my headphones. Theres a track on disc 2 called An Architects Dream and its beautiful. David youre right about the Madonna one being easy on the ear, think thats why ive been listening so much the last few days plus ive thought she was gorgeous for at least the last 20yrs lol

Well u never know yr luck Sheila:)) Have you tried pretending to be a posh english woman riding about the countryside in a dodgy outfit? lol From what I've heard it doesn't get any deeper but sounds good whereas Kate's lyrics are all moody and wistful

David, the dodgy outfit i could do no bother lol but im terrified of horses - infact im scared of any creature thats basically not a cat and the posh is definately out - im a geordie remember :-)

I don't like Madonna, I never did seems I never will :-( If the album is anything like whate she did to Abba's 'Gimme Gimme' then I won't like it :-( Kate Bush well she is a completely different kettle of fish & would have to be more intriguing :-) Pat x

Pat, i think Madonnas a bit like Kylie - you either like her or she irritates you. Ive always liked her music cos its good on the ear and dancey and sometimes thats what i need to listen to. Kate Bush is unique and i remember when i first heard Wuthering Heights being amazed and thinking wow who is she. Ive got very diverse tastes in music and listen to all sorts lol

Only heard bits of Madonna and then by accident. I'm not a fan at all and can see little of merit in what she does. She is very good at publicity and changing her image but her music is shallow and mostly bland. She had a thin voice totally lacking in emotion. Her videos are usually very interesting but I'm more interested in music. Kate Bush has more talent in her little finger. I fell in love with her voice many years ago. She is innovative, creative and bares her soul in her music. Her voice is incredible. Her lyrics are pure poetry sometimes and never dull or bland. Gwynne
