Tell us about your day

5/11/05 Today was a relatively quiet day for me. In the morning I had some cereal which I don’t normally do; those honey nut loops are just too tasty. Later on I typed up some English notes about 1984. Then for the next couple of hours I downloaded some Frank Sinatra songs and just messed about on the PC. Then I went with my dad to get a new coat - £40! Outrageous. I didn’t know a coat could have so many insulation gizmos built in. I shall be waterproof, windproof and bullet proof (well, almost) On the way back we got some fireworks from a newsagent, before going over the road to get a chippy tea. A fellow nurse from the hospital spotted us and she was definitely Fiona Phillips’ sister, or indeed Fiona herself. She spoke to my dad for about 15 minutes. Very boring conversation about wages, the last part spoken outside in the rain. Later on we let off the fireworks and all watched in awe. Me in the middle, my brother to my left and my sister on my right watched from an upstairs window ooohing at arring. A nice day.

Dear Diary, This morning I went to my youth theatre group until lunchtime. Then I had a pub lunch with some of the older ones. This afternoon I have been adding to my spreadsheet of the 1851 census. Gwynne

I got GB today, been round Toys R Us, visited in-laws, had tea, looked at all GB's postcards, badges, keyrings etc, watched the plane film on TV, tried to keep GB calm during the noise of all the fireworks, she's now watching them but won't go outside. Better make sure she hasn't fallen on the window sill. Josie

Firstly l've just realised l did'nt wash this morning !! how on earth can one forget to do that?? (obviously l can). Me reason for that is hubby was in barfroom, l was in dressing-gown and getting too hot, so l changed - simple!!!!!! about to have a shower!! lol l woke up at 9am and flung me self out of bed with a thump(not really, not the thump anyway!!) Had me usual shredded wheat and al bran with oat milk, scrumptious, oh and loads of suger:o)))) Hubby had to leave for work about 10am but he also had to get our papers and a neighbours - well we did'nt have enough money (arrrrrrrrr!!!!!) so he just got the neighbours. Time now is about 10 past 10 and there he is knocking neighbours front door and she's in the back garden without her hearing aid in - dowwwwwwwwwwww!!! dog knew where she was though and did his usual and tried to jump the fence!!!!! l then tried phoning my daughter, no answer, then tried my son, no bloomin answer! So decided to do the house work, which included hoovering the lounge, the stairs, our bedroom, the bathroom and landing - back downstairs to swwep the litchen floor and hoover the mess up, empty the hoover fingy (its a dyson!)and atlast put the kettle on for a mug of hot water:o))))) Managed to get hold of daughter about 2pm:o))))) l started making some christmas stockings last night to sell in a charity shop, so thought l would carry on with them. The time is now approx 11.30am and the dog is trying to tell me something, l ignore him and carry on sewing, he tries again and l still ignore him then tell him he'll have to manage in the backgarden - which he does, bless him!! lol l'm peckish so have 2 ryvita and MARMITE and loads of ANCHOR BUTTER, oh my god how gorgeous was that!!!!!! l carry on with me sewing and glueing.l'd glued some felt holly onto stockings - must say they look great. The dog does'nt give up - its now 1.30pm and he's been upstairs on my bed, but now he's looking at his lead and following me everywhere, so l give in and we walk round the local park. Actually there's a method in my madness cause l collected some willow tree branches to make the frames for xmas wreaths. l knew the council had been in during the week and cut the grass etc., and because the willow hangs low loads of branches got pulled down. Back home with a slightly muddy dog - l give him a quick wash with the hose and a good rub down indoors and half a bonio - which disapears in 2 seconds! Ermmmmmmm do you know l was really good at lunch time cause we had a piece of lemon and butter icing cake left in the bread bin, l was soooo tempted to eat it all, but l did'nt !!!! Hubby got in about 2.45pm and THEN l shared the cake with him and a hot cup of tea (no we did'nt share the tea as well!!!! lol) Hubby decided he would walk the dog about 3.30pm so he could get back intime for the rugby. He missed the introductions, singing etc so l recorded it and cried!!!!! was'nt it brilliant?? Such a shame Wales lost:o(( Oh gawd my favourite time (not) was approaching very fast and l was trying very hard to ignore it - l kept sewing and cutting out,but realised l could'nt hold back any longer - it was time to cook. We had 3 sachets of birds eye fish in butter sauce, which l thawed in a saucepan, then added cheese, whilst thats cooking l had pasta cooking. Usually l grill it with tomatoes to crisp it up. We had salad with it, yummy. By now its time for the X Factor - oooops no its not, we watched Celeb dancing for half hour, then recorded the rest whilst we watched X Factor. By now the fireworks were causing problems with the dog, he's not really sure what to do with himself, so he sits really close and eyeballs you,or sits on your lap, then lays down, then eyeballs you again. We diceded to ignore him, which worked very well until about 9pm when all hell let loose outside, they were going off in all directions. We turned the TV up and l sat on the floor with him. In between all this l have popped upstairs a few times to take a peek on here - of course!!! and feed Fat Cat about 6 times!!!!!!!!! You did ask - lol lol jude sarf wales :o)
