A man, living in the north east of England is to be sent back to new zealand ,after staying here after the war ,after fighting for this country till the end of the war.. his crime was forgetting to ask for citizenship. He married ,had children ,and paid his taxes ,and after fifty years of doing this he has earned his citizenship. This country has gone totally beserk with stupid rules that allow terrorists to stay ,even after getting caught, while a law abiding man gets kicked out.I am totally disgusted.Fred. |

When you get some complaining that some are including Christian leaflets which explain what most consider to be the message of Christmas, with shoe box gifts for christmas, what do you expect. PS I do not consider Christmas to be a Christian festival. David |

I think this is a disgrace. I don't suppose they inspected his 'passport' when he joined our forces and fought for us during the war. I feel embarrassed for our country for their treatment of him. Only wish I could put it right. |

Fred, You are dead right! I fought for this lot and did three and a half years chasing Chinese terrorists round the Malayan jungle completing 15 years service in 1958 then I did the idiot thing and joined theCivil Service, staying 10 years before seeing the light and getting out. The faceless 'suits' who made this stupid decision will never be named but I hope they sleep nights knowing they have ruined the life of a man who was prepared to lay down his life for this country along with thousands of other ANZACS, many of whom never returned. His loyalty is above question and should be rewarded by reversing the decision bearing in mind the decision to allow thousands of useless, illiterate (and illegal) yobs to remain, some of whom are even now plotting acts of terrorism against us! |

When is someone in a position of importance going to decry all this nonsense. cyril smith would have done it. The modern politicians must agree with us but they are just too frightened. Happy days |

Just wondering how this man came to the attention of the authorities after all this time. Wonder if they will pay back all the tax he has paid if they do go ahead and ship him out. Maureen |
