Paul I missed your thread last week - sorry. Such a sad thing to have happened but the funeral sounds very moving. Daisy |

Thinking of her husband and children. Rest in Peace Pat. I also went to a funeral yesterday of a dear old lady of 89. She was our very own local Hannah Hauxwell, but she had the luxury of warmth and comfort in her last years in sheltered accommodation. Jess - thinking of you also.xx Funerals make a person reflective and puts your life in perspective (hope you know what I am trying to say) Jxx |

you're right there. 3rd one this year :( I feel so sad for the three kids (roughly 23, 20 and 16) - the son (20ish) was driving the car when they crashed - not his fault though. If I had a quarter of the people at my funeral as Pat had, I'd consider myself very fortunate (except that ... oh you know what I mean). |

funny things funerals Paul, I went to my Gt Uncles yesterday. 6 of us in total singing - ''how great thou art''..wasn't exactly raising the rooftops but never the less. Must have been a comfort for her family for all those to have attended Jess x |

Paul A really good turnout, she was obviously a much loved and respected lady. Once again my thoughts go out to all her loved ones. |

How sad for her family and friends but like you say it will have comforted them to know she was so well thought of. Funerals are never easy. |

Some of you may remember me putting up a thread just over a week ago about a lady I knew who'd died in a car crash. Well it was her funeral today, and there must have been well over 300 people there - the church was full and there were 50-100 people outside - amazing. Really nice service, and I know the family (her husband and three children) were pleased with the turnout (who wouldn't be ?). Rest in peace Pat. xxx |
