St. Helena or South Africa Birth/Marriage Records

Hi Folks, Anybody have any thoughts about getting birth/marriage records relating to St. Helena in the S. Atlantic off Africa? Reason: Family tree has come to a stop. Need to trace two relatives I believe married there, A first child born there and a second in South Africa to trace the Mother's maiden name. Thank you, Roger |

Check out this website. http://www(.)genealogy(.)co(.)za/ remove brackets I have rellies in South Africa but thankfully they were kind enough to provide me with copies of the relevant certs. Good Luck with your search Fi |

Oh Roger, tell me about it!! It seems you and I are in the same situation, only this time Cape of Good Hope in S.A. The 1837.com site has overseas births which covers some of my rellies for 1860 onwards, but doesn't mention the ones I really need. Fi - thanks for that tip! I'll try that, too. x Mmm, just tried that addy Fi, and couldn't get to the site. |
