No I haven't been drinking.....My vision has gone all funny, you know when you look at water and you get that shimmering reflection thats what it looks like and can't see all of keyboard as normal . Do get migraines but vision usually goes tunnel like after I've had one not before. Oh heck could be laid up with bad head later then. |

Get yourself to an optician/doctor, you might have a detaching retina. nell |

dawn,if at all possible...lie down in a dark quiet room...lay on back, close eyes, and concentrate on breathing...in to the count of four, out to the count of six. do this for about ten minutes, and slowly open eyes, let them adjust to the darkness, see how you feel...keep lighting low for a while. bryan. |

Hi Dawn, I have this, my doctor says it is migraine. The first time I had it my vision went completely. I also get black patches where I can't see anything ahead, very worrying when it happens when you are driving. I was once driving along the M25 and there was a truck with initial letters about 3ft high and I suddenly realised that I couldn't see them any more. On another ocassion cars coming towards me disappeared from my vision and suddenly reappeared right on top of me. Doc prescibed Paramax. David |

Just like to say If anyone gets any visual disturbances they have never encountered before, please make a doc appointment to rule out anything more serious. Elaine x |

Thanks you lot. Bryan did what you said now how difficult is that breathing in okay breathing out a little harder. fell asleep and have now got the Migraine head so having fed them all am going to turn this computer off and lie down and doze again as that is the only way I can get rid of them and after having them since I was at school a sleep works better than any medication I have been given. dawn |

I get something where it seems like I am looking through clear water. At the same time round the outside of the field of vision is a zig zag coloured circle a bit like a christmas rope light. The light also stays there when eyes are closed and I can see them on insides of the eyelid. Is this the same?? You need to see an optician to rule out any serious problem, but mine told me that this is visual migraine. No headache with it. Dianne xx |
