I have sold loads of bits and peices on ebay. The insertion fee depends on how much you start your item at. Be prepared to accept the lowest amount you start it at. So if say you don't wnat any less than say £5 start it at that but if you are willing to take a chance start it 99p. then there is the final value fee ( what ever it does go to) If you have a paypal account and it is paid for by that method they too take a fee. Also when I put my postal cahrges in I put a few extra pence on to cover my fees. If you go into your ebay page click on sell item there is a lot of info on there. Good Luck you will get the bug I am sure Germaine x

Paul, they need your card number on a sellers account so they can claim their fees, you can also use a debit card, so you could set up a new bank account just to deal with ebay. I've sold quite a lot recently on ebay and no problems, one none payer the fees of which were credited to my account. Have a look at what other people are selling which is similar, be bold with the wording and good photos help. Good luck Ros.

Ann - when you search for your disc and the results come up you should see a yellow box to the left of the page - has various info in it. If you look down it you will see a title 'Search Options' under this heading you want to click in the box next to 'Completed Listings' and then press 'Show Items' - this will bring up all the relevant items that have been listed recently. I do it a lot as it gives you a good idea of how much particular items are selling for. Paul - Ebay ask for your Credit/Debit card number in order to take fees regularly, but once you're set-up you can change for them to be taken by either Direct Debit or Paypal (if you have an account). As mentioned before it is a good idea to add some extra to your postage costs to cover fees and packing - I add between £1 and £2 depending on the price of what I'm selling and also the amount of packing it requires. If you have any problems feel free to contact me. Kaye x

I'm always buying on Ebay much to my husbands annoyance,i have bought clothes for my grankids, books and toys so far everything has been great, there is even a seller with heirlooms for sale i keep looking but none of mine yet. I have been buying presents for christmas on there, just make sure you allow for postage in your bid sometimes it can be a bit steep and by the time you add it on ,it's not a bargain.

I've bought most of my Christmas presents on ebay this year. It's great and saves trips around the shops. Louise

Anne usually when someone asks you to finish an auction early its because they know you will get more for it than they want to pay, so dont , just say sorry
