Hi Lisa, i was in Pizza Express today enjoying the sun--it was so hot down there. i think the tower will be great for Portsmouth and i think those who mock it will be eating their words

I think it was a complete waste of money - and there is no way my feet are leaving the ground!!!

I will visit the Portsmouth Stick, although I feel the money would have been better spent on a different shape, like Hospital Wards or more housing for those in need. I was surprised to hear the leader of the Council call Portsmouth an affluent City when I am aware of all the people struggling to receive the necessary Care in their lives which they need.

Wasn't this going to be Millenium Tower? Never mind, it's completed now. I have seen it grow at a distance, when visiting Hampshire. The views from the top will be quite something.

Hiya Karen - hope you enjoy yourself:o)) must admit l think its a waste of money,its nice to have some sort of monument or whatever to celebrate the millenium, but so much more could have been done with the money - just think of all the people it could have helped during the last 5 yrs. We are staying in Portsmouth next week for a few days ( visiting my son at the Uni) and will most definatly be going on the Spinnaker Tower.

Hi everyone, well i went up yesterday and it was fantastic.the views are amazing.you don't even realise that the lift is moving and before you know it you're up there. for all of you that moan about it,stop,be adventurous and go up. whilst i agree that its cost a hell of a lot of money i think it will also bring a lot of money into the city and anyway we could go on all day about money being wasted on things and being put to better use
