I've just had an e-mail from E-Bay telling me that if I don't update my details my account will be suspended..... so i click on the link which took me to the sign-in page. I entered my username and password and then a screen came up asking me to enter my Credit / Debit card details to confirm that I'm me! This doesn't seem right to me....... anyone had anything like this?......c....x

Get onto the official Ebay site and change your username and password. You've given them away, so your account is not secure.

I hope you don't use the same Username & Password for your Paypal account, if you do you'll probably find they've emptied your account of cash by now. Change your username and password immediately but it's probably already too late, they will have hijacked your account by now. Contact Ebay immediately, use the live help link which is on the home page in the top right hand corner under the search window to get instant online assistance. Hi Ron, Good luck to them emptying my account..... there's nowt in it anyway lol but seriously..... I realised that I changed my password 3 weeks ago and had forgotten about it, so the password that I put into the e-mail this morning was the completley wrong one anyway But thanks for thinking of me Claire x

ebay have added a facility so that you dont have to answer any spoof mails that you think may be genuine. Check out your mail box on your ebay account as they send a copy of every mail to that aswell.

Also download and install the ebay tool bar, it's pretty useful. It automatically detects spoof sites and you can search ebay from your desktop without having to log on to ebay first. Carol www.genealogyprinters(.)com
