I buy bits through the year as I see them. Problem is hiding them from the children. Also have one of their birthdays on the 15th Dec plus a nephews birthday on 19th December so have to be organised. They also live a distance from us so usually go down Oct half term to deliver them as would cost a fortune to post them.

I bought a Christmas pudding in Asda today! Last year I left it too late and had to buy a different make and it wasn't nearly as nice. So I thought as I saw it today, I'd get it today! I always make Christmas cakes but never Christmas pudding - I don't know why. I've only got 8 cakes to make this year, so I need to get started by the end of September! Have to start buying ingredients next week. Sue xx

I've started mine - Silk Ties for nephews from Past Times in the sale - Ruck Sacks for great neice & great nephew from Index when it closed down - Food & Drink crossword book for nephew [to go with tie] from Motorway Service Station in the sale Brighton Monolopy for daughter from Market, bargin at £15 Flannel for sons stocking from Boots in January sale All my Christmas Cards in January Sales. And last but not least I got my husbands Christmas pressie in February and he had to have it on the day 10 months early, a bike, it was from a second hand shop and was such a bargin I couldn't resist it, but it was to big for me to ride home so he had to. I'll have to remember He's already had his pressie.

Claire, I used to be, but not so much these days - old age creeping in, well trying to. I always keep my eyes open for pressies in the sales just incase, sometimes I see something worth buying for the person & sometimes I don't. But Christmas Cards I go out right after Christmas for, as I like to get the nice ones and wouldn't have been able to afford them otherwise as I wasn't working before this year.

Good point Norah I hadn't thought of that, but I doubt that they will, I'm the Family History freak. Having said that I can't remember how many days ago I came on here to add more to my tree and its still the same number - well in fact homepage says one thing and the tree says another. Maybe we should all get together and buy Genes Reunited a CALCULATOR for Christmas
