Clare, lol, I don't think the team would be too disappointed to see rain wipe out most of the test, given the series scoreline. Mind you, they won't be thinking about that, they just want to finish the job off. |

if there is to be rain then it would have to wipe out more or less an entire days play for the draw to start becoming realistic. They make up so much time lost to the weather these days plus runs are scored much quicker as well than a few years ago. |

Cliff - saw some interviews tonight and they said it is crucial who wins the toss. The 'experts' don't want us to risk batting last against Warne. 'They' feel we would be best to bat and try and rack up as big a total as we can. ooooh I do hope so!! Maz. XX |

Another 5 days where I get nothing done! Apparently they are tipping it to be Collingwood who plays - they don't think Anderson is in good enough form at the moment, plus his nerve as Andy says. Would love to be there - the atmosphere will be terrific! Maz. XX |

Clare, Difficult one. I think that Anderson is still one for the future (he has an England central contract) but don't think his nerve will hold, it would be a highly risky move to bring him back and pitch him straight in against the Aussies. He's been in reasonable form but hardly anything to give the Aussies nightmares. Collingwood may be more batsman than bowler, but he has played Australia this summer in the one-dayers and looked good. My instincts were to sway with him. Only question is where would he play in the order, before or after Geraint Jones? Can't see him batting higher than Flintoff... One thing to remember also is that Australia's tail has added more runs than ours - mainly because our tail end batsmen aren't too clued up on how to play Warne-y. |

Collingwood is the other option as he can bat and provide bowling support to the other four main bowlers (Hoggard, Flintoff, Harmison, Giles) |
