... Well I was right, my fears became a reality.......... My options: Root canal = no more pain Or extraction = no more pain but huge gap in smile Weigh up pros and cons: Pros - no pain Cons - financial pain After much deliberation can't believe I opted for the root canal .... but hey! he told me it wouldn't hurt [LIAR] and told me how much it would cost [DOUBLE LIAR]................ Ok so it didn't hurt too much - but I still felt it abit despite his guarantees............. And how the hell does 'Root Canal costs £279' become 'Total to pay £372 - didn't he tell the filling is extra on top off?' when I get out to the reception already minus the nerve and sporting a temporary filling - GGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Well my mind is made up - I AM MARRYING A DENTIST pmsl And for the record - I did not kidnap said purveyor of dentisry who has just fleeced my credit card LOL :O( |

Elaine - LOL Well it only hurt when he 'GOT RIGHT IN THERE' lol - but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I feared - and I believe there was some infection which answers why it hurt. Yes - in total was in there about an hour, but that included me humming and hahhing about what to do and then waiting for the injection to take effect :O) Next appointment in 2 weeks - approx 45 mins he says....... Dont know what he has used in there but my mouth tastes FOUL :O( pmsl |

Elaine - thanks for your concern :O) Already asked about the crown [did my homework on NHS Direct] and he has assured me it's not needed - he said tooth was worth saving and would be fine with a composite filling [that's the little b*gger that pushed the bill upto nearly £400] Can't wait for my mouth to 'thaw' out - oh for a cuppa LOL to get rid of this taste YUK!!!!! :O( |
