Just had a quick look at the local paper, nothing in there at the moment. Next one due out on thursday. Yes Rye is worth a visit.

You CAN'T do Rye by car. I was there on Monday and it's a great place to walk round...... some nice tea shops too. Battle is not far from Hastings and has an interesting exhibition, 'Yesterday's World'.... and a tea shop within the grounds too. Only problem is when you see things from your childhood on show, it makes you feel old. Hastings has some free museum/ exhibitions too in the Old Town area, by the beach. Hastings library has all the census details for all of Sussex, East and West, if you happen to want to fill a rainy day.

Sorry Jen I haven't got a Betty about Hastings but did you have a good time in Brighton? :)

:-) I'll walk really, I just like lots of rests! No dead rellie stuff allowed by order of partner... but history in general is another matter. Can't wait, hoping to camp near Battle but all sites said no need to book so we'll just drive around and pick one from my list. Thanks again, Jen
