Just spent the last hour and a half deleting obsolete contacts from my list. First you scroll down to choose the next page, then you choose the contact to delete, click, then you have to say you are sure you want to delete, click, then you get 'Page not Found' so you go back to the first page, scroll down to click on the page you were at, choose the contact to delete... Is there a short cut? Or is it really this cumbersome? And what is the point in being able to delete your messages if you still have to delete your contacts anyway? nell

I never bother to delete because of this Nell. I have pages and pages of contacts that are now not needed etc........... it just takes too long. There must be an easier way.............anyone know? Much happiness Debi

I'm with Deborah on this. It is just not worth the hassle unless it's raining and you've got about 2 days to spare when you can't get into the garden. LOL Keith

Can't find any way round it Nell and I've given up now as it's too time consuming. It just feels so untidy doesn't it? Daisy

Yes Fay, that would be the way to do it, and I promise myself that I will do that...........EVERYDAY, but I never do. I tried deleting messages from the threads once............I would have been ther all WEEK! Deanna X

In a way, I'm glad to find I haven't missed an obvious trick, but it would be great if GR could make it simpler, even if it's just to return to the page you are deleting each time. nell

Would be good to be able to delete GR contacts in the same way that you can delete GR mails by ticking the box rather than clicking on the bin image. Meanwhile I'll try Fay's method of deleting a few every time I log on. Daisy

I too have given up deleting because it is so time consuming. But it occurs to me, maybe nobody has approached GR about this. Do you know if anyone has? Ann Glos

I emailed Estelle about this the other day. Had the usual thank you we will think about it reply. I would think that the more of us that complain the quicker something may get done.

I try and 'prune' my lists once a month to keep the pages down. At present, I've got loads of messages and contacts still there because of the Bear Relay. It's a real fag, having to keep trawling through those to refer to what people have said. That's why I asked everyone concerned to use email, which makes it much easier to file messages and find them later, but they've still used GR. On 17th October, when the London Relay is over, I'm looking forward to spending the day clearing the lot - and all the emails as well. I agree, though, Nell. It doesn't help the process when you keep getting 'error messages' or 'page can't be displayed'. CB >|<
