Are you lucky or not? What did you win and did it come in handy? |

Hi Natalia I've won lots of wee things like cd's, small amounts of money, a camera etc but the best one was a VIP day at The Scottish Cup Final a few years ago! Travelled to a hotel with guest football players. Had pre- match drinks, then off to Hampden stadium for lunch with a load of celebs! After the match we went back to the hotel for free drinks and buffet before being driven home at night! And my team won! Great day out. Christine |

I won a competition in a wedding mag for a Colour Me Beautiful Wedding Make Up Application. Pretty handy for me cos knowing my luck I would have ended up looking like Lily Savage if I tried to do my own make up on the day. Its the only thing I have ever won - I think I was the only person who enetered in to the make up comp! Natalia x |

When I was a child our local paper used to run a 'Junior Reporter' club and had regular competitions. I was a keen writer and entered loads, winning quite a few, my best prize being a bike that I won the week of my 10th birthday! Very exciting! S:> |

Yes I have. I won a bottle of champagne in an Independent on Sunday comp. which handily arrived for mother's day. The comp was when Labour were becoming new Labour and wanted to abolish Clause 4 and come up with something snappier. I came up with 'Fair do's'. Mel and I were also in the winning team at our son's infant school parents' assoc annual quiz in 1998. The team shared a case of wine, and I still have our certificate! But my favourite prize was 52 Virago books. I had to say who my favourite author was and why in under 25 words. I chose Jane Austen but can't remember my reasons! The books included fiction, travel, poetry, politics, classic etc and I really enjoyed them. nell nell |

Natalie I am a member of loquax and *dot* comper websites. I am a serious comper- been doing it since may. In fact thats why I haven't been on the boards. Haven't won anything big as yet but small prizes include an Alice in wonderland dvd, some fairy books and something yet to be delivered from Disney! A few years ago I won a weekend break by air to Guernsey, a week's holiday in a pine lodge at Weymouth, a case of carslberg, t shirt, some guinness, c and a vouchers ( c and a who are they? lol) and a hamper. Its great fun but costs a fortune. Apparently its worth it when you win the biggie. I am quite good at winning holidays so would love to go to disneyland paris again lol louise xx |
