Hi everyone.....Yesterday and Today it's Spice Mas Carnival in Grenada....It started with J'ouvert morning yesterday at about 3 am...this is the 'Ole Mas' when they celebrate the traditional Mas depicting the Emancipation of the slaves....where everyone just wears whatever comes to hand. 'Jab Jab Molassie' where 'devils' coat themselves in blue and red paint and oil !! This represents things evil in society that need to be eradicated. It is great fun but you have to beware they don't smear you with paint or oil...I wear very old clothes of my husband's !!!! Today is the road March where all the magnificent costumes come out..... Please feel free to use this thread to have a 'jump up' and a drink.....that is what I shall be doing !!!!! So come and play Mas and enjoy.....

Oih Oleander is your carnival capers putting the moccers upon this site . The unfavourable are having problems is there any voodoo that you cansend over. Extreme annoyance here. Have a happy time and hope to catch you later , if this gets there. Luv Rupertx

Thanks for the Grenadian rum Jacquie (suitably chastened Reiver). It's very nice - but you never wash alcohol down with water (seasoned scrumpy drinker!) The Reiver

Well as no one else seems to want to participate in Carnival...I'll be off to enjoy the real thing....Plenty of Rum and whatever else you're drinking....be back later...enjoy. Jump up, jump up....wind, wind, Jab jab!!!!!
