When I do a search on my tree and it comes back with a list of matches..it then gives me the opportuntiy to contact them...when I contact them do they get an email from me with his name Neeta, or my proper name .......only I think I would like it if my proper name was used...ie.Anita..

I am pretty sure that they recieve an email from you with the name you are using now! I have receied emails from people with their nicknames not their real names xx

When I e-mailed someone who I knew she didn't recognise me as it showed my maiden name. nell

Thanks clare, Just as I was posting this thread i recieved a message back from one of the people I mailed and she called me Neeta ,so that sort of answers it, Its just i felt a bit daft having Neeta on it, it doesnt seem quite right...am I making sense... LOL.... Thanks for replying ANita x

Example If you think BLA BLAH could be a relation or ancestor, find out more by contacting the Genes Reunited member (HARLOWGIRL) who added the name. Corospondance will have your board name. But your name in your tree will remain your correct name. So If someone sees my name in their list and contacts me about my name it will read If you think Elaine ??? could be a relation or ancestor, find out more by contacting the Genes Reunited member (Harlowgirl) who added the name. Once the person has made contact then you can tell them your real name. Elaine x

Hi Neeta I think you'll find that your name in their contacts list is your board name and in the messages list it's your maiden name so they'd have both.......... Heather

Ahhhhhh, thanks babs..thats better than all the daft hearts and squiggles etc, doesnt look quite right when sending mail out about trees etc.. He's ok really his foot is really bruised and he cant quite walk right, hes gutted because he cant play footie....typical , the sun is shining aswell ..

Poor little fellow bet he`s gutted;;;; and neeta your hearts and squiggles are there as well hehe
