Why oh why do we do it? Sing on karaoke I mean... we've been to (yet another) Karaoke bar tonight, ( top form of entertainment here in Didim) and I usually get roped into doing the two I do best 'Killing me Softly' and 'Angels'. Now hubby's favourite song is 'Dont want to close my eyes' by Areosmith - Armageddon theme song, for years I've told him it wasnt in any of the books... I was off chatting to people I hadn't seen in seven or so years and when I got back he'd found it, and given it to the DJ. OMG! Never done it before (except in the house with a hairbrush...lol...) but after a few V & C's, well a girl has to do what a girl has to do... I think everyone must've been sloshed! Went down to great applause, and they asked me to go back and do it again. No-one had serviettes stuck in their ears so it must have been OK ...lol... Suffering already though, throat is killing me, hubby will probably get a few days peace when I cant speak in the morning (I think that's why he did it!), but it was definitely fun. Magi

oh i do love a good karaoke!!!!! have one here when i have a party...whether folk like it or not!!! lol i'll sing anything..but at a proper karaoke night i'll sing mama's and papa's - california dreaming!!!!

So when we open our own bar next year Jill, you'll be top of the list girl. I was running the entertainment side of things for the first month we were here, and was amazed to find people bringing their own disc's on holiday with them. Mind you it makes for some great songs... If we had one in the house the neighbours would go crazy... Magi

I need to change my name Jill. We moved to Didim(Altinkum) in June and I haven't thought of anything to change it to yet. I got a bit fed up of running the show for everyone else, so we're looking for somewhere for next year. Get over here girl! Magi x

Me too!!! Don't sing (unless I'm p*****!) but would love to watch you lot make a spectacle of yourselves! Last Saturday (at my cousin's wedding) my brother and one of my 2nd cousins sang Shaggy 'Angels' and it was HYSTERICAL!!! lol becx
