I remember learning to ride a bike - just. My Mum and Dad did the same thing - running along holding onto back of seat, just let go when he's concentrating on going forwards - he won't even notice for a minute or two. Kaye x |

Hi, My 6 year old learnt recently too...I removed her stabilisers and just let her get on with it finding her balance pushing herself along on her bike by her feet....She mastered it in no time and may I add she was very fearful when I was behind her supporting the bike as she was concentrating on me letting go not on her balance and pedaling.....Let them get on with it with no help from you only be there for supervision and praise but be prepared for a couple of little scrapes and be there to put the plaster on but not too much of a fuss....Don't forget the HELMET though.... Good luck to your little one....It will be a great achievement.. Love Susie xx |
