Oh, wow! sounds like a trip that will be fascinating and fantastic... how can you possibly have any other thoughts other than 'lets pack and go' toward this great opportunity!? You can safely assume I think you should definately go :) |

I know the Irish are very welcoming but it might be a different story in a small town that is not for tourism if an outsider comes in nosing and trying to dig up skeletons.....so to speak ....I feel impelled to do it but in another way feeling cautious!! Love Susie xx |

You may find people will be interested when they know you doing family research. Make a point of visiting the church & talking with the priest, he may well be able to give you pointers & introduce you too to some locals. I would certainly go if it was me. Good luck Shirley |

I would go if I were able, and had the money. What an opportunity, you may even find LIVING relatives. Old Irish, don't tend to move about much. Good luck. Deanna |

I would have to talk Jamie round too as he has idea's to take me away somewhere hot when he comes back not a ferry trip across to Ireland.....Oh it is so simple for him everyone in his family knows everything about all their ancestors so he wouldn't understand the drive in me to do it!! Love Susie xx |

Irish people are just people as you or I are! I married one, and he is a gentleman. You go, and don't be afraid. You will love it. Deanna |
