My hubby Ron said it depends on what sort of ceiling you have, is it the old lathe and plaster or is it modern plasterboard. How heavy is the mirror, if it's heavy and the mirror has got to have holes drilled in it then locate the ceiling joists first and get the holes drilled so that the screws will go through the mirror and ceiling and into the joists, if it's a fairly lightweight mirror and is to be fixed through the plasterboard only then standard cavity fixings should be used and will be strong enough. Best wishes Carol www.genealogyprinters(.)com |

I don't think I could relax with the weight of a mirror above my head - why not buy a roll of stick on mirror (available from those catalogues you get free in magazines) and put it on some thin card and then fix that up - a lot less painful if it comes down with the vibrations!!! |

it stuck ok with blue tack but why he wants a compact mirror on the ceiling i don't know after all he doesn't even powder his nose i think he was trying to wind me up about putting a mirror on the ceiling, so i tried to call his bluff by saying i would ask advice on here, never dreamed he'd let me go through with it!!! so now i have put a tiny compact mirror up there with blue tack after all he never specified what size!!! |
