My friend is very distraught Her cat has gone missing from Franklyn Avenue.Prestatyn This was about 7.30 am on Sunday. She is a very timid cat and her name is Vinny she has a michrochip. Please look and if you find her get in touch on this site. Thank you June.

I lost my cat for 4 days, i posted leaflets in all the houses near by, she had got shut in some ones shed, dont give up......like your friend, i was beside myself, poor lady, i do feel for her xxx

Mine went missing for a week & when he returned was very upset. Seems he was locked in a garage & people went awy for weeks hollie without noticing he had slunk in when they had door open. He survived ,I think ,on spiders & was very hungrey & thirsty when he finally came home. Was upset too & didnt leave us for over a week, only went out for his ablutions & rushed staight back in. They are very resiliant & will come back as soon as thay can. No how you feel tho,I was beside myself & got all the neighbours to check their sheds & garages,but of course, he was in the one that no access was available for Hope your friends puss gets back home soon. I'm a volunteer with my local branch of Cats Protection. All branches have a Lost and Found Officer, who keeps records of cats which, funnily enough, have been lost or found. It would be worth giving them a call. You can check the CP website for your local branch. Also it is worthwhile ringing around vets as sometimes people who find cats take them in there. Vets usually hold a lost and found register too. Also, if puss has been involved in an accident it would hopefully have been taken to a vets. Whilst chipping is a good thing, to be recommended for all cats and kittens, there are occasions when vets scan a cat but don't pick up their chip details - the chips can 'move around' a bit! Also recommend your friend puts up some posters or puts flyers through neighbours doors and asks people to check their garages and sheds. Don't forget the weather has been mild lately and cats are prone to wander off for a few days 'vacation' this time of year!

Generally Black & White. Mostly White Face and down her front and underside. She has a black Diamond on the bridge of her nose. Black Back and Tail. Thank you all again for messages. Any news yet? The other thing I thought of is that if the cat is insured, the insurer will usually pay the cost of advertising, ie in a local paper - just an idea. Jan
