I have just read a very interesting article about the author H G Wells in the Daily Mail. It was of particular interest to me because he was born in Bromley; just down the road from here. When I finished, I promptly logged onto Ancestry and found him (and others in the piece) on all the census!! Sad, or what? Suzy |

Hi Suzy, I'm in West Wickham, but on the Bromley side, off Pickhurst Lane. I know your area a bit as I help at the Bromley Youth Music Centre which is near Petts Wood. Also play in an amateur orchestra that rehearses at Poverest. Janice |

A small world Janice. One of my best friends lives on Pickhurst Lane; her daughter goes to Pickhurst school. The BYMC is just down the road from my kids' school; St James' on Southborough Lane. Suzy :)) |

Yes I lived there until 1970. Dad is 91 this year and we visit him every two weeks (take turns with sis). I went to Bromley Grammar School for Girls in Nightingale Lane, Bromey. |
