I have been on this 'merry-go-round' for nearly 2 years and I have recently gone back to the 1750's with the help of some wonderful people. Susan |

Started properly in 1996 but on some lines not got far - the early 1880's. On one the 1600's. I'm not sure I'm that bothered about how far back I get. Just interested in who my family were. Jane |

More than 2 years now, still only got 127 in tree so far, drives me insane at times! LOL I dont keep my tree on GR now tho, i made an error and it was a pain to correct it, find it easier to keep it logged in my own file now. Donna |

About 2 years Dads side back to 1520 (with a lot of help) Mums line is a lot more difficult and back to early 1800 but they are driving me mad Hubbys side main name line back to 1620 his mums side back to early 1800 but may have possible serial bigamist there so thats exciting. Keep flitting between the two families hoping that I can crackbits here and there. Have had a lot of help from people on here. Very addictive though and postman must think I'm mad when I'm waiting for a cert to arrive I'm there waiting for him and pounce on him. (perhaps thats just me though) |

Started on my own family in 1973 got back to 1700s, ( before computors ) then progressed on to helping people all over the world trace their ancestors roots in England. So in all, I have been researching for over 32 years. I am now 73 and blind in one eye, but still enjoy it. But it is much easier now than when I started. |

1980 started WEA class on village history, knew the family had been here some time. Was made redundant soon after so had six months to draft large tree. Went on to other things and left it alone until last year when we bought a computer. |

30 years, but for the first 25 didn't spend much time on it as I was still working. In the last five years I have done a lot more. Not too interrested in how far back i get. i prefer to learn about the lives of people and where they lived etc. back to 1711 on one of my Dad's lines,1774 on another, 1775 on one of my Mum's lines, 1811 on one of my husband's Father's line and 1740 on one of his Mother's. But there are many brick walls which is what makes it interesting as a hobby. Always something left to look for. Ann Glos |
