As I said, I have exam tomorow and need to know which books are actually part of the double etry system, not the momorandum books. I know purchase control ledger and sales control ledger are and purchase and sales are not but what are the others? Thanks M |

I think I'm in appropriate costume for this. Don't the cash book, petty cash book and nominal ledger count? Completely off message, be grateful that we have double entry bookkeeping, even if the function is performed by software packages (which don't always get it right, S*** being the bane of my life for allowing unbalanced ledgers). I was once stuck on a railway station with no reading material but a book on Medeaevil bookkeeping. Now that was dire. |

Hi Michaela I'm no help to you whatsoever re the books but I do remember reading that people who drank bottled water during an exam had far better results than those that didn't - so if you're allowed, then take a bottle of water in with you. Apparently the brain operates much better if fully hydrated. Good luck Lucy x |
