Hello Lucia! Haven't seen you here much lately. Hope you're well. As I haven't been very active during the past couple of months due to a painful 'housemaid's knee', I've been spending ages on the PC, writing on behalf of our local residents, typing up reams of notes from the lectures I attended at the SoG Family History Fair in London on 30th and 31st April, researching family history, and trying to link up connections between all the participants in the London leg of the Gaynor Bear Relay - without much success, as lots of people don't reply to my messages. I can't start arranging publicity until the relay connections are in place, so I hope those who haven't yet confirmed to me what they're able to do will do so fairly promptly. I'm amazed at how long it's taking, but there are 30 of us in this Group, so perhaps it's not surprising. I've also started making costumes for Gaynor Bear to wear on her London outings - a Pearly Queen and Sloane Ranger outfits. What will you be doing over the summer holidays? CB >|< X Are you in the Relay? I've no idea where you live, but if you're in the London area, how about joining us?

Sorry I know this is off topic.......Shelli have you thought about finding somewhere actually in the town of Minehead rather than on the Camp? There are also lots of really nice villages around the area that are nice to stay at when the weather's good - if you want somewhere quiet where the kids can go horse riding or just play in woods etc then you could look at Horner or one of the other places near-by. I'm from Minehead and would never, ever stay on camp - complete rip-off! If you want anymore info email me. Kaye x

Sue, my book is a thriller set here in Auckland. The main character has a welsh grandfather and a maori grandmother!

Hi Everyone, I've just finished my work experience and have started my new timetable. I really enjoyed my work experience and I had a lot of fun. The only problem I have with my new timetable is that I have a double period of Maths on Wednesday mornings. But I have double History on Thursday afternoon and I'm looking forward to that. In the Summer holidays I'll be camping at Newbigging for a week and I'll be doing white water rafting. I'm not sure what I'll be doing for the rest of the holidays but I want to do more family history research as I haven't done much for a while. I also want to visit an archives as so far I've only been researching my family tree on the computer and using certificates. Lucia :-)
