Thanks for your replies. Dave, She has suffered with this since she was 16 and is now 56, although she does have some helath problems for which she is on medication like blood pressure and under active thyroid. I dont think it would be classed as Oedema. If she puts her feet up and rests they go down and its worse when she gets hot. Anyway, I will pass on the remedies. Jayne

I buy mine from Holland and Barrett but any similar shop will have it and some chemists. I take one 300 mg tablet every morning that contains 20% Aescin (which I believe is the recommended dosage). There is quite a lot on the internet about it and my doctor doesn't know of any medication that might be affected by it. Mandy

If it's due to fluid retention, then celery seed and boldo extract will do the trick. CB >|<

Hi Jayne Yes Horse Chestnut is my miracle cure........................I recommended it to another GR member and she said that it is helping her too............I take the tablets daily but I think the other member is using the liquid. Mandy The way that Horse Chestnut works is to stimulate the circulation in the lower leg and has been found to strengthen veins.

Swollen feet could be underlying health problem from heart or lungs and should not be ignored! I have them sometimes and I have heart condition.Oedema could also be from heart failure or kidney failure. Dave

My friend suffers from terrible swollen feet and a few weeks ago there was a thread on here suggesting a herb supplement that helps many of you with the same problem. Problem is I cant remember what it is, can anyone remind please? Many Thanks, Jayne
