Debenhams has recently taken over the Allders store here in Portsmouth--no problem. I went in yesterday with my mum and she got some clothes in Ann Harvey only to be told by the lady that Debenhams are getting rid of a number of connsessions in there.Mum was furious as there is now only Evans in Portsmouth to buy clothes for a larger lady. anyway i've just sent a stinky email to Debenhams to complain-feel much better now(although it doesn't solve the problem)

karen i think it is bad.it's the same with larger cup sizes i am one and can only get bras in marks and spencers,evens and ann summers.it's about time these stores realise that we are not all stick thin.good on ya girl for writing the letter and standing up for the rights of larger ladies.love and hugsxxxxxxx(:

don't even get me started on bras,i have that problem. it got worse through the day,i went into Tammys for my daughter and thats closing down.soon there will be no shops left in Portsmouth--its dire:-((

Have you ladies tried Avon's bras? I'm not sure what size they go up to but I'm 40 DD and I get them from there!

For larger cup sizes try Figleaves on t'internet and Naturally Close on t'internet. They are fab get all mine from them. Julie xxx

Good for you, Karen! I think it's high time these stores realised that bigger people also need clothes. I've always had problems finding clothes sized long enough for tall people (and I'm not that much over the average), but since I've been older and larger, it's been even worse. The only shop I can guarantee will have things to fit me is Long Tall Sally, and they're quite pricey for ordinary daywear about the house. I've never bought much in M&S because I've always known other people who shop there, and I don't like wearing the same clothes as everyone else I'm with, but they and BHS seem to be the only stores who cater for larger ladies. Keep complaining - maybe someone will take notice. CB >|< X

aparently all the Tammys are going ,there might be a few that go into BHS,no offence but what teenage girl wants to go into BHS(mines 10 and wouldn't set foot in there). it's not so much of a problem getting bras(i'm 38f) but its getting ones that are nice and not grannyish

CB, my friend has the same problem,shes 6ft,whilst i have the opposite(5ft 2).mind you one good thing was people always thought we were sisters and though i was younger he he:-))
