We're off to Spain on our hols this year and I've just found out that the local Bull Run through the streets should be on at the time. I don't intend taking part! lol. But I might go along to watch. Has anyone else seen a bull run - or taken part in one! Or do you think it's cruel? Jeanette x

Hi Jeanette I personally think this is sooooo cruel, No animal should have to be treated in such a manner, it really makes my blood boil! Have a great holiday babe Maz x

I think the way these animals are treated is shameful... not only are they used for bull fights but then the 'left over' ones are used for the bull run... running terrified through the streets with screaming people running around them, my blood boils too maz. DISGUSTING!

Well, in that case, if there's cruelty involved, it's not the place for me. Obviously I realise that bull fighting is cruel, but I hadn't realised what was involved with a bull run. I'm just sooooo niave sometimes!

Yeah agree with everyone I think it's an outdated Cruel act. I cannot understand why the European Parliament hasn't intervened to put a stop to both the bull runs and the bull fights, it's disgusting behaviour by those who participate and I have no sympathy for the people when they are injured. You know what? Every year people run in front of the bulls in Pamplona, and every single year I root for the bulls, because I think any idoit stupid enough to place himself in front of a bunch of angry beef deserves to get trampled. The bulls are doomed anyway (they're on their way to a bullfighting ring), so they might as well thin the herd, so to speak, of the sort of guys who have so little sense to get in the path of bull. Go bulls! Go!

i am afraid, i put Bull running up there with badger baiting, hare coursing, Dog fighting, Bull fighting and Fox hunting. I am totally against any 'sport' that is derived from humans getting a thrill at the expense of another living creature. But thats just me.... a big animal loving softy :)

if you have decided not to watch, fine. But just in case anyone you know is thinking of watching a bull run, tell them that watching can be dangerous too. If you are right behind the barriers and have people behind you pushing to see, the bulls´horns can get through the bars and there is no way of moving back. Also people running often throw themselves over the barriers or through the bars right onto the people watching in order to get out of the bulls´way. These are usually tourists who have had a bit too much to drink and think that running is ¨exciting¨ , although the authorities do try to stop them.

To Right Pam! And sorry but I think they deserve it, who could possibly get enjoyment out of it? Maz x

The bull runs are so cruel and barbaric - they should be banned. I heard on the news recently that sharp objects like swords and spears are being banned from bullfights now - before, the bulls were being stabbed and hurt before they even went into the ring to make them angry. Not before time but why do people have to be so cruel? I would never go to a bull ring or bull run. If tourists stopped supporting these things then maybe they would die out.
